The American Society of Traditional Artists aims for the highest standards of quality in all its endeavors. American Society of Traditional Artists, also known as (ASTA) will be taking a clear and precise path: to promote a better understanding and appreciation of the art that our members produce, through our annual exhibitions and lectures at a national event.

We’re living in an amazing era for traditional representational art. Much has changed over the last fifteen years, more and more ateliers are springing up across America teaching the 600-year-old methods of past greats, resulting in a movement unlike any seen since the Renaissance.

New doors are now opening for ASTA and their artists - we look forward to expanding our reach with major museums across the US, and expanding our reach with community and youth programs and providing even more support to our members.

At our Exhibition & Sale, we encourage the museum to appoint a committee to review a selected group of works and present them to the museums board, where they will have an opportunity to purchase one or more works on behalf of the museum for their permanent collection.

This process also allows the public to share in the discoveries that the museum has made and become more familiar with the latest trends and newest developments in the way of traditional representational art.

The American Society of Traditional Artists' ultimate aim is to encourage and to heighten public understanding and appreciation of traditional art.
